AI-driven property management system (AiPMS) – Boom – has launched what it calls the world’s first Business Agentic Manager (BAM) for the short-term rental (STR) sector, marking a shift towards autonomous business operations in hospitality and property management.
BAM extends beyond traditional automation tools, using AI to make autonomous decisions across marketing, guest communications, financial reporting and review management. The system aims to free property managers from repetitive workflows, allowing teams to focus on strategy, growth and guest experience, while reducing operational costs.
The launch follows Boom’s $12.7m funding round earlier this month, led by Avenue Growth Partners with participation from hospitality investors including Ian Carter, former chief executive of Hilton International.
Unlike conventional property management systems or AI plug-ins that automate isolated tasks, BAM represents a new category of technology – the Business Agentic Manager. It learns, adapts and manages business processes end to end, creating what Boom describes as a shift from Software as a Service (SaaS) to Business as a Software (BAaS). The approach enables businesses to function as intelligent, self-managing systems that provide real-time visibility and insight into performance.
The platform offers property managers a comprehensive, single-prompt view of their operations – from financial results and marketing performance to team productivity and guest satisfaction. Boom says this allows managers to respond instantly to business queries and make faster, data-driven decisions.
“BAM is a landmark moment for short-term rental operators. With the launch of the sector’s first-ever Business Agentic Manager, we’re taking the next step – helping property managers unlock autonomy, efficiency, and freedom to grow.
“Our vision with Boom is to create a new generation of software – BAaS: Business as a Software – that allows companies to focus more on the human touch and less on the tedious tasks. It’s about making what was once impossible finally possible: owners earn more, guests enjoy better service, managers achieve true work-life balance, and management companies become more profitable. We’re entering a new stage for the industry.”

BAM also redefines the relationship between property owners and management companies by offering real-time performance reports, transparency and measurable returns. Boom claims this builds trust, strengthens retention and can help attract new owners through enhanced accountability and reporting.
Early adopters have reported substantial gains, including 75% of guest communications handled autonomously, 100% of review management completed without human input, and reporting times reduced from hours to under a minute. Guest response times are now 80% faster, and listing reviews that once took days can be completed in seconds.
“Since adopting BAM, we’ve transformed our operations. Guest communication and review management run automatically, while instant, data-driven reporting gives us the confidence to scale. It feels like having a 24/7 operations manager built into the system.”

The launch builds on Boom’s introduction of its AiPMS in 2024, which placed AI autonomy at the core of short-term rental management. With BAM, Boom is positioning itself at the forefront of what it calls the next generation of intelligent systems – capable of learning, adapting and running business processes independently.
The company says BAM is designed as a continuously evolving system, becoming more capable over time of autonomously managing additional elements of property operations, reducing the need for manual oversight and allowing management companies to scale more efficiently.
